The ASM1142 Type-C is a dual-port SuperSpeed USB 3.1 PCI-E add-on card that complies with the PCI-Express Generation 2 (Dual Channel x2) specification for host systems. When connected to USB 3.1 compliant peripherals, it can transfer data at speeds up to 10Gbps while maintaining compatibility with existing USB peripherals.
USB 3.1 performs at connection speeds up to 2x faster than USB 3.0 and up to 20x faster than USB 2.0 connections. It outputs effective power to USB devices without the need for an additional power adapter connection.
