Product Features: The MPU-60X0 is the world's first 9-axis motion processing sensor. It integrates a 3-axis MEMS gyroscope, a 3-axis MEMS accelerometer, and an expandable Digital Motion Processor (DMP). It can connect to third-party digital sensors, such as a magnetometer, via an I2C interface. This expansion allows for 9-axis signal output via I2C or SPI (SPI is only available on the MPU-6000). The MPU-60X0 can also connect to non-inertial digital sensors, such as pressure sensors, via its I2C interface. The MPU-60X0 uses three 16-bit ADCs for the gyroscope and accelerometer, respectively, to convert analog measurements into outputtable digital values. To accurately track both fast and slow motion, the sensor's measurement range is user-controllable: the gyroscope's range is ±250, ±500, ±1000, and ±2000 decibels per second (dps), while the accelerometer's range is ±2, ±4, ±8, and ±16g. An on-chip 1024-byte FIFO helps reduce system power consumption. Communication with all device registers utilizes a 400kHz I2C interface or a 1MHz SPI interface (SPI is only available on the MPU-6000). For applications requiring high-speed transmission, a 20MHz SPI interface can be used for register reads and interrupts. Additionally, the chip includes a temperature sensor and an oscillator with ±1% fluctuation under operating conditions.
