Question: When does 568A arrangement preferred over 568B?
Answer: Um…a crossover cable is used to connect a computer to computer (568A on one side and 568B on the other) so the tx and rx pins don’t have collisions. 568B is just more prevalent from my experience, at least in the U.S. Use whatever standard you want.
